PureGels^® Omega 3 300/200 is a high potency, low odor, cold water fish oil which is naturally distilled for maximum purity from wild fish.* Our Omega 3 300/200 provides 300 mg EPA (per soft gel) and 200 mg DHA (per soft gel).

Fish oil, containing two of the most important fatty acids found in nature - EPA (Eicosapentaenoic Acid) and DHA (Docosahexaenoic Acid), is an excellent source of essential Omega 3 fatty acids. EPA and DHA are major structural components in the brain, retina, heart, and neural tissues. DHA is essential for brain development, mental acuity, and visual function at every stage of human life, from fetus to old age.* Because they cannot be produced naturally in the body, EPA and DHA must be replenished from outside sources. Consumption of EPA and DHA from fish oil has been shown in clinical studies to assist in maintaining a healthy heart, and may reduce the risk of Coronary Heart Disease.** Omega 3 fatty acids may also help maintain healthy triglyceride and cholesterol levels that are already in the normal range.*

EPA and DHA are receiving much attention due to their role in promoting healthy cardiovascular function. FDA has published a statement based upon numerous human clinical trials that consumption of Omega 3 fatty acids may reduce the risk of coronary heart disease.** This research is the culmination of over 30 years of research on the benefits of fish oil, which began in the early 1970s when studies on Greenland Eskimos showed a correlation between regular fish consumption and lowered risk of cardiovascular disease.

The raw material fish oil in our products complies with the CRN (Council for Responsible Nutrition) Voluntary Monograph for Omega 3 fatty acids obtained from fish, plant, or microbial sources. CRN established standards for mercury, heavy metals, PCB's, and dioxins more stringent than FDA, and equal to or more stringent than those set by EPA and the state of California (Proposition 65). Natural processes called molecular distillation and steam deodorization provide maximum purity of our Omega 3 fatty acids.
